Boak, White face tests
Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak and speedster Matt White will face tests ahead of Saturday's Sydney clash
SEVERAL senior Port Adelaide players will be assessed by their high performance team with a view to earning a recall against the Sydney Swans.
That review list will be headlined by Power skipper Travis Boak who is fighting a minor ankle injury sustained against Melbourne in Round 11.
Matt White – also injured against the Dees – will also be monitored during the week after being a late withdrawal along with Boak from the originally selected team that defeated St Kilda by 70 points on the weekend.
Aaron Young and Jared Polec were both injured against St Kilda and will need to prove fully fit to play the Swans, owing to the Power’s ‘no risk’ injury policy.
It’s the same scenario for Angus Monfries who will again be given the opportunity to prove fit to return from his own ankle injury.
“It’s nice to have a few in the mix this week but we’ll need to wait until our main training session to see how they’re faring for Sydney,” head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“We’re not going to risk playing a guy who’s not 100% good to go.”
