This season, sydneyswans.com.au will delve into the world of AFL Fantasy with the help of our in-house Fantasy ‘gurus’.

Every round, Fantasy team captains ‘Lotts’ and ‘Sub-elite Legends’ will debate it out and provide their best tips on who to buy, keep and trade each week.

This week, the Swans' round two clash against the Pies is up for discussion.

What did you take out of our round two match, Fantasy wise?

Lotts: Overall it was a pretty similar week to round one. Only Lewis Jetta was able to score over 100 Fantasy points but there were quite a few Swans who scored in the 90’s. Benny McGlynn ($387,912) seems right at home in the midfield this year scoring 97 points while Mike Pyke ($413,176) was impressive in the ruck posting 98 points.

Sub-elite Legends: It was another week without any massive Fantasy scorers, but I thought there was better spread across the midfield this week. The proven midfield stars like Kennedy ($482,518), Hannebery ($458,853) and McVeigh ($506,396) all improved on their Round 1 scores and with a couple of games under their belts now, I suspect they will start posting 100+ scores in line with their 2013 averages.

Who’s your Swans player of the week?

Lotts: It’s got to be Dan Hannebery. Hanners responded in the best possible way after a slow start in Round 1 by racking up 29 touches and a goal for 93 Fantasy points. Last year, Hanners posted some big scores over 100 points and looks primed to do the same again in 2014.

Sub-elite Legends: I tend to agree with you there Lotts, Hanners worked hard all game for his 93 points. I have also been happy to see some early consistency from Tommy Mitchell. He has knocked out two 90+ scores in the first two rounds and for the sake of my forward line, I hope that continues!

Price changes came in this week, which Swans are set for some big price jumps?

Lotts: A popular Fantasy choice in over 85,000 teams, Gary Rohan ($165,814) has enjoyed a moderate price rise of $27,414 after being subbed out of last week’s game at three quarter time. With more game time under his belt, I’m sure he’s going to increase in price over the season and he’s still very affordable so get on now. After producing his first ton for the year, Lewis Jetta ($346,498) has also enjoyed a nice little price rise of $10, 998 and if last week was anything to go by then his price and scores may sky-rocket in the coming weeks.

Sub –elite Legends: As I mentioned last week, Harry Cunningham ($184,629) was one to watch. He started the year at rookie prices and has already jumped nearly $50k. If he manages to hold his spot in the team and continues to score around that 70-point mark, coaches can expect a significant return on their investment, but they better jump on quick.

Which Swans player would you choose as your captain for the next game?

Lotts: The last time we played Adelaide in Adelaide it was Tom Mitchell who pulled out a monster score of 144 – in only his second game – so he gets the nod for me. We’re at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval for the first time this week so it’s an unfamiliar ground but I don’t suspect it will impact his scoring too much. In his first two matches this season, Mitchell has scored 93 and 95 Fantasy points so I’ve got a feeling he’ll produce a 100+ score this week making him a unique fantasy choice.

Sub-elite Legends: Lotts, I just might be Tom Mitchell’s number 1 fan, but this week I am predicting a big performance from the skipper McVeigh. He was electric all pre-season but yet to crack the ton during the season proper and I think he is going to lift to another level this weekend in a bid to get the Swans back on the winners’ list.

Next up is Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, who are the form players to look out for from the Crows?

Lotts: Like us, the Crows are zero and two so their players will no doubt be keen to get their hands on the football and perform this week. Patrick Dangerfield ($495,043), who is in most Fantasy teams this year, hasn’t cracked the ton yet this year which is a streak that hopefully continues for another week against the Swans! But he’s a proven Fantasy star and match-winner so he’s definitely one to keep an eye on this week. Other than Dangerfield, Rory Sloane seems to be in good touch scoring 109 and 113 in his last two matches.

Sub-elite Legends: Rory Sloane ($522,812) is definitely the form Crow at the moment with two 100+ scores. He is very dangerous when he can get the ball out in space and hopefully the boys can lock him down this weekend. Dangerfield will of course be on everyone’s radar, but for me, I think players like Richie Douglas ($515,457) and Matthew Wright ($384,874) are underrated Fantasy performers who can both top 100 points and be dangerous either in the midfield or up forward.
