WE were over in Perth for four days in the lead up to the Fremantle game and in that time between arriving and playing we had some spare time.

A few of the boys decided to go catch a movie.  We watched ‘The Expendables’ with Sylvester Stallone and Steve Austin, to mention a few.  To put it politely, the movie was rubbish!! I think Shane Mumford was so disgusted by it he tried to get a refund on his ticket.

This week I'm going to give you a rundown on some of my favourite movies.

'Dumb and Dumber' featuring Jim Carrey is a classic. I’ve seen this movie so many times yet it still makes me laugh. Two stupid guys, Lloyd and Harry, decide to drive across the country from Providence, Rhode Island, to Aspen, Colorado, to return a briefcase left in the airport by the object of Lloyd's affection. While trying to deliver the suitcase they face many dilemmas which make it quite funny!

'The Hangover' is a movie I watched while flying to London last year. I forgot I was in the company of other passengers and would burst out laughing. Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a bachelor party they'll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing.

For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can't find is Doug. With no clue as to what happened and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to LA in time to walk down the aisle.

I was in year 10 in high school when 'Gladiator' came out and I remember going to the cinemas three times to watch it, I liked it that much! In the final days of Marcus Aurelius' reign, the Emperor causes his son Commodus' to get angry when he announces he wishes Maximus to be his successor.

Power-hungry Commodus kills his father and orders the death of Maximus. Maximus flees and hides his identity by becoming a slave and a gladiator. Eventually, Maximus journeys back to Rome to confront his arch rival.

A great way to relax the night before a game is watching a good movie. I’m really looking forward to the new Will Ferrell movie ‘The Other Guys’ coming out.  I will have to let you all know whether or not it is worth seeing!
