Round 6 v Adelaide

The Sydney Swans five-match winning streak came to an end in agonising fashion against Adelaide at the SCG in round 6.

The result was made worse by Adam Goodes tearing a quadriceps muscle, which would ultimately sideline him for six weeks.

Goodes had been in ominous form kicking five goals before being subbed off early in the fourth quarter.

With all the momentum, the Crows kicked four goals to start the final term and managed to hold on by five points despite a last gasp effort by the Swans.

The siren sounded as Jarrad McVeigh was about to gather a loose ball 30 metres out in the forward-50 with an open goal in front of him.

Lewis Jetta was brilliant in the match collecting a career-high 27 possessions and kicking two goals.
