DYLAN McNeil tells sydneyswans.com.au about his desire to improve his fitness in 2011, and what he's learnt from Jude Bolton and Brett Kirk...

What were some of the highlights of your season?
I played reserves all year and thought my form was pretty consistent. The first half of the year was particularly good when we were winning a few games.

What areas do you need to improve for the 2011 season?
It’s been made pretty clear that I need to work on my fitness so I can run out games at AFL level, so that’s my main focus for the preseason.

Are there any players at the club that you model your game on?
Someone like Jude Bolton, who is a really good inside midfielder and someone who I can look up to.

What lessons have you learned from Brett Kirk?
Just about his work ethic. Everything he does, he gives 100 percent. Whether it be extra recovery work or extra skills, he’s always working on his game and working hard.

Which teammates most impressed you this season?
Kieren Jack has definitely impressed me and he has had an amazing year. Just the way he attacks the footy and he is always working hard, he shuts down his man and wins his own ball too, so he has been really impressive.
