The Swans finally won a close one and the victory moved them back into double-chance territory. But there are no gimmes in their next four games starting with Sunday at Subiaco where Matthew Pavlich plays his 350th game. The Dockers and their fans will be souped up for that one. A trip to Perth this weekend begins a run of three interstate matches in the next five weeks for the Swans who finish their season at home against Richmond.
The run home
Rd 19: Fremantle (Domain Stadium)
Rd 20: Port Adelaide (SCG)
Rd 21: St Kilda (Etihad Stadium)
Rd 22: North Melbourne (Blundstone Arena)
Rd 23: Richmond (SCG)
The coach says
"We will play our best team and that is what we did this week. We looked at the make up of our team and wanted to play our best team regardless of the birth certificates. We wanted to play the players that are in best form and playing well so that is what we will continue to do. The confidence to be able to win that game is important in particular the way we were able to do it is good. What got us right in the hunt during that third quarter was pretty simple footy, it wasn't a lot of technical work it was just our fierce energy and contest." John Longmire post match Rd 18, 2016.
