Eight big plays
Sam Reid's team-lifting goal that gave the Swans the lead plus all the other unmissable moments from Saturday's Grand Final
SAM REID'S second-quarter goal typified the Swans' superb team play as they took the ball from one end of the ground to the other.
The sweeping move was started by impressive young defender Alex Johnson deep in the defensive 50, who transferred the ball to Nick Malceski.
Malceski opened up the Hawks' midfield with a bullet left-footed pass to Dan Hannebery in the centre circle.
Hannebery handpassed to Jarrad McVeigh who in turn fed it to Reid.
The young key forward then finished off the flowing movement with a polished shot on the run from 45m.
It was the Swans' fourth unanswered goal of the second quarter and put them in the lead for the first time.
