Sydney Swans veteran Jude Bolton is free to play his milestone 300th game in next Friday's preliminary final after today being cleared by the AFL Match Review Panel.

Contact between Bolton and Adelaide's Patrick Dangerfield in the final quarter of Saturday's Qualifying Final was assessed and no further action taken.

Incidents assessed:

Contact between the Sydney Swans’ Jude Bolton and the Adelaide Crows’ Patrick Dangerfield from the fourth quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed.

Dangerfield has the ball and was preparing to kick and Bolton comes towards him.

Bolton has both his arms outstretched initially in a bid to smother his opponent’s kick and then braces for contact as Dangerfield disposes of the ball.

It was the view of the panel that Bolton’s action to brace for contact was not a striking motion.

No further action was taken.
