One of the club’s most successful annual events, the Ladies Lunch, is just a month away.

The event, sponsored by QBE, is a time to celebrate the team’s female supporters, families and partners who contribute so much to the Swans club and culture.

Among those women who will be in attendance is Sydney Swans number one ticket holder Philippa Power, who said the Ladies Lunch is the perfect time to acknowledge the importance of the club’s most passionate female supporters.

“The Ladies Lunch to me is an opportunity to engage with women, have lots of laughs and to exchange our diverse attitudes to sport and life in general,” she told sydneyswans.com.au.

“We enjoy the entertainment and being together socially but, for me, it is a tangible acknowledgment that women are far more than a social appendage to our Club.”

“The Swans Ladies are a statistically significant and culturally meaningful constituent of our Club and through our efforts on so many levels we have made a difference.”

Other than tasty food and beverages, Ladies Lunch guests are also treated to special guest speakers including Swans players and celebrity guests as well as massage and manicures at the event pamper station.

Sydney Swans Ambassador and Channel 7 news reader Sarah Cummings said these little extras make the Ladies Lunch an even more enjoyable experience.

“The Swans Ladies Lunch is always such a fun event,” she said.

“It is a great opportunity to catch up with other Swans ambassadors and supporters and to celebrate the female fan base.

“Plus it’s a chance to hear from some of the current players and of course there’s the amazing goodie bag to look forward to at the end!”

Cummings added that the Ladies Lunch was just one of many events the Swans host throughout the season which is inclusive of the club’s many female members.

“The Swans put on great events throughout the year for the players, coaches and partners as well as female members and supporters,” she said.

“Family values are very important to the team which definitely makes it a female inclusive club.”

Fellow Swans Ambassador and Channel 7 personality Chris Bath agreed that club’s female contingent were a valued part of the Swans.

“The Swans are smart enough to view women as a big part of the club,” Bath said.

“From Lynn Ralph on the Board, to the Ladies of the Lake, launched in 2009, women are embraced by the Swans and made to feel more than welcome.”

The Ladies Lunch is a sell out every year so be sure to get your tickets early so you don’t miss out.
