Yesterday’s game marked the final Sydney Swans match for the season at the SCG.
The fixture for top spot on the AFL ladder between the Swans and Hawthorn was a fitting way to see out an outstanding season of football at the club’s home ground.
Over 31,000 fans turned out for the blockbuster clash, which went right down to the wire with Hawthorn claiming the points in the final minute of the game.
With so many wonderful memories made at Sydney’s home ground this season, Swans TV’s Around the Grounds, powered by Volkswagen caught up with some of the club’s most loyal fans to reminisce of some of the Swans finest moments this season.
Among the fans’ memories was Andrejs Everitt’s nerves of steel in the nail-biting win over the Cats in round 13, as well as the numerous running goals from Swans speedster Lewis Jetta early in the season.
Backman Ted Richards’ sensational season was also among the fans’ highlights, as well as the excitement of watching Kieren Jack perform inside 50.
