THE Sydney Swans have made changes today to their senior and rookie list.
Senior-listed player Kristin Thornton, and rookie-listed players Jake Orreal and Taylor Gilchrist, will not be offered new contracts with the Club.
Thornton, 22, has played eight senior games for the Club since he was drafted in 2005. Orreal, from Queensland, spent three years at the Club, and Gilchrist spent two years on the Swans rookie list.
Thornton was picked up at number 54 in the 2005 draft. Unfortunately Kristin had several injury setbacks including a lengthy spell on the sidelines in 2008 with an ACL injury.
In 2009 he regained his fitness and was rewarded with a senior debut against Carlton in round four. He played the next four games, and a total of eight for the season.
Prior to being picked up by Sydney, Jake Orreal had played just a few games of Australian football and was in the AIS as a volleyballer.
Gilchrist was drafted to Sydney with the 28th selection in the 2009 Rookie Draft. An athletic midfielder, Gilchrist played two seasons in Sydney's reserve side.
The Sydney Swans would like to sincerely thank Kristin, Jake and Taylor for their contribution to the Club over the past few years, and to wish them all the best for the future.
