Matt Spangher is the latest player to have found a new home with the Sydney Swans trading him and pick 72 to Hawthorn in exchange for pick 66.

The 25-year-old was drafted to the Swans with pick 73 in the 2010 AFL Draft after playing 26 games in five years at the Eagles.

Spangher overcame injuries late in 2011 to play six games for the season, including both of the Swans finals, but didn't make a senior appearance for the club in 2012.

Pick 72 was recently acquired from Port Adelaide in exchange for Campbell Heath and pick  85.

Sydney Swans General Manager - Football, Dean Moore said he was pleased that the Swans were able to improve their late draft order and wished Spangher all the best at Hawthorn.

“One of our objectives during this trade period was to enhance our position in the draft order and we’re pleased to see Campbell and Matt given opportunities at new Clubs,” he said.

“Matt has been a popular player since joining the Club late in 2010 and we wish him well as he returns home to Melbourne."
