IMAGINE cooking for more than 40 hungry footballers?

Where would you start? What would you cook? Will there be enough?

That is the challenge that faced eight of Australia'?s best young chefs in a special Junior MasterChef episode featuring the entire Sydney Swans team, which aired on Monday night on Channel 10.

The talented group of kitchen whizzes, all aged under 12, prepared a team lunch for the Swans during the season, with each of the players asked to vote on their favourite meal.

The Swans have a strong association with the MasterChef juggernaut. Ryan O'?Keefe was part of the ?Celebrity MasterChef? series last year, and has taken his share of criticism from teammates for preparing what they believe was a basic spaghetti bolognese on the show. Furthermore, former series two contestant Courtney, is often spied in the Swans kitchen preparing team dinners for the playing group.

The episode was filmed in the lead up to the Swans Round 21 clash with the Western Bulldogs and whatever the kids cooked that day, certainly proved beneficial for the team, as they went on to record a strong win in Brett Kirk and Paul Roos' SCG swan-song.
