Sydney Swans defender Nick Malceski will make his return to competitive football tomorrow afternoon just 10 weeks after he underwent LARS surgery to repair his anterior cruciate ligament.

Malceski will feature for the Sydney Swans reserves as they look to continue their winning start to the season against the Gold Coast Suns reserves at Lakeside Oval from 1.50pm.

Malceski will be joined in the side by fellow defender Campbell Heath, who will also make his comeback after LARS surgery on his knee in late January.

Jarred Moore and Brett Meredith will get some much needed game time with the reserves after they were used as the substitute and non-playing emergency, respectively, in last weekend’s senior game against the Western Bulldogs.

Jesse White and Paul Bevan will get another chance to stake their claim for a senior recall, while Mark Seaby, Lewis Johnston and Trent Dennis-Lane will be looking to continue their good reserves form.

The Gold Coast Suns currently sit third on the ladder in the strong NEAFL Northern Conference, and boast a team filled with young talent. The highly touted Charlie Dixon, Maverick Weller, Harley Bennell and Josh Toy have all been named for the Suns.
