Sydney defender Dane Rampe has been recognised for his courageous performance against Hawthorn on Saturday earning the full 10 votes from the coaches.
Despite playing three quarters of the match with a broken hand, Rampe gathered 25 disposals and five marks to earn the maximum votes in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year award.
He moves to fourth in the Carey-Bunton Medal for the best NSW-bred player.
A four-goal haul to small forward Tom Papley saw him acknowledged with seven votes as the next best player on the ground.
Jake Lloyd also received five votes from the coaches, with Jaeger O’Meara (5), Liam Shiels (1) and James Sicily (1) the vote getters for Hawthorn.
