Warwick Capper wants to see football fans out in their tightest and brightest gear at this weekend’s 30 Years in Sydney celebrations at the SCG.

As part of the Swans’ celebrations, the Swans Hall of Famer and self-proclaimed pin-up boy will be judging the best retro outfit at half-time of the Swans match against Melbourne on Saturday evening, with great prizes up for grabs.

Capper, who will be channelling the 80s fashion vibe on the night, said the tighter the outfit, the better.

“I want to see plenty of mullets and white teeth like myself, and plenty of leopard skin,” he said.

“I want to see plenty of disco balls in the cars and plenty of tight shorts.

“For the winner, tight pants would be a must, much like my leopard skin pants that I’m going to wear on the day.”

Capper will be a guest at this weekend’s 30 year celebrations, and will enjoy the fine dining experience of the Chairman’s Club.

However, Capper said he won’t be following the Chairman’s Club dress code.

“I’m going to sneak in with leopard skin pants and a black jacket, it will look amazing,” he said.

“I’m actually better looking now than I was back then because I’ve got a better plastic surgeon, so I look younger now than 20 years ago.

“All the other guys are getting older now, they’re all old creeps and wrinkly and I’m getting younger and look 21, so it’s good.

“Imagine what a peel does and a bit of botox, it’s beautiful!”

The flamboyant forward, who kicked 317 goals for the Swans in the mid-to-late 80s and again in 1991, said his time at the club was special, particularly for the fans.

“I rated my time at the Swans fairly highly like most people did, but yeah, it was pretty good,” he said.

“My favourite time was having (Tommy) Hafey as a coach that was great, and probably making that single at (Dr Geoffrey) Edelsten’s house with all the helicopters and all the models, that was good.

“I also enjoyed the several thousand appearances I made and all the screaming young girls.”
