The Sydney Swans have named an unchanged side to face Carlton at Metricon Stadium on Tuesday night.
Defender Callum Mills, a late withdrawal against Melbourne, will spend another game on the sidelines after failing to recover from a calf strain.
Longmire said the Club was taking a cautious approach in managing Mills’ injury.
“Unfortunately, he is just a little short in his preparation,” Longmire said.
“He is feeling really good but if we tried to get him up for this game, we might have put him in danger not only for this game but for the rest of the season, so we didn’t want to take that risk.
“Hopefully he will be ok for the next game.”
Sydney travels to Gold Coast on Tuesday to take on the Blues with the match kicking off at 8.10pm.
