Sydney Swans utility Jordan Dawson has earned an AFL Goal of the Year nomination for his outstanding goal against Carlton on Tuesday night.

Dawson's soccer performance against Carlton defender Jacob Weitring is one of three nominations for the Round 16 Goal of the Year.

Fremantle's Adam Cerra and GWS Giants small forward Ian Hill are the other players competing to take out the Round 16 award.
