In great news for Sydney Swans members and fans located in Victoria, crowds are set to return to the footy in Victoria from Round 1.
The AFL has today confirmed that crowds will make their long-awaited return to football venues across Victoria, including the MCG and Marvel Stadium.
The Victorian State Government has backed a 50 per cent crowd capacity at Victorian venues commencing Thursday, March 18 with up to 50,000 fans able to attend the Swans match against the Tigers at the MCG in Round 3. It will mark the largest crowd capacity allowed at a sporting event in the state since the COVID pandemic first hit last year.
From Thursday, March 4, Marvel Stadium will also be at 50 per cent capacity (a total of 28,961).
Under the ticketing arrangements for the capped crowds, Club members (home and away) will receive priority access to matches. Further details regarding match access will be sent to members before the season commences.
