Young, exciting Sydney Swans trio James Rowbottom, Chad Warner and Nick Blakey have all committed to the Club, signing contract extensions.
Rowbottom and Blakey have signed on until the end of 2024 and Warner the end of 2023.
Blakey, a QBE Sydney Swans Academy product and pick number 10 in the 2018 AFL Draft has played 40 games in the red and white, kicking 28 goals.
The 21-year old forward said he was excited by the current playing group and thrilled to sign on for another three years.
“To be signed on for another few years is really exciting. The first few rounds have been nice with the young boys playing key roles and the older guys showing us the way,” Blakey said.
20-year old hard-nosed midfielder Rowbottom, who was pick 25 in the same draft as Blakey (2018) has impressed in his 29 games to date.
"Currently the club is going well with the combination of youth and experience so I am really excited for the future,” Rowbottom said.
"We are taking everything in our stride, week in, week out we have done a good job and (after missing the last two games through injury) I can't wait to get back out there amongst it myself.”
The Swans latest Rising Star nominee, Chad Warner has also committed to the club until the end of 2023.
The 19-year old was pick 39 in the 2019 Draft and has played just the five games for the club but has impressed with his exciting dash through the midfield.
"It's great to be part of the Bloods culture, that's probably the biggest thing for me,” Warner said.
“The future is really exciting with all the young boys. We are still learning and we are all like sponges, absorbing all the knowledge from people like Joey (Josh Kennedy) and Parks (Luke Parker).”
