Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley is jumping head on into the Black Dog Institute’s CEO Skydive for Mental Health on Friday April 30, 2020 and we are encouraging all Sydney Swans members and fans to show their support for the initiative.
Harley is part of a team of CEOs who will be Skydiving with ExperienceCo. to support the Black Dog Institute to fund life-saving mental health research and education.
The funds raised through the CEO SkyDive will help reduce the incidence of suicide and mental illness, conduct world-leading research, train GPs and health professionals and educate schools and communities
Harley is aiming to raise $10,000 ahead of the skydive and we are encouraging all members and fans to donate here.
“Black Dog Institute is one of our partners at the Sydney Swans and we’ve witnessed first-hand the important work they do,” Harley said.
“While people tend to focus on physical health in the context of elite sport, we know that mental health is just as important and at the Swans we place an emphasis on both.
“Through the CEO Skydive, I’m hoping to help raise awareness of mental health through sparking conversations – jumping out of a plane will certainly be an interesting conversation starter!
It’s really important to check in on your colleagues, friends, and yourself, especially following the events of the past 12 months which have challenged everyone in our community.”
