Bio: A courageous midfielder with good endurance, Dan Hannebery is a high possession winner with good skills and clean hands. He was a Vic Metro Under-18 representative in 2008, from Xavier College.
Vic Metro U18 coach David Dickson says: Dan is just one of those interesting young men who has just come from completely outside the system. He's a Xavier College boy who thought he would be lucky at the start of the year to get a game with the Chargers, but we saw something in him. We just thought he had a really good work ethic, we thought he was smart and he was bottom-aged as well.
He's just a gut runner. One of the days that he wasn't playing, Andrew Nicholl, who is a pretty powerful runner, thought he'd take the boys for a run and he just couldn't keep up with Dan. He's going to be a really good AFL player who can just run and run and run.
