Victoria's lockdown has meant that all VFL and VFLW games and the round of NAB League contests set to be played this weekend will be cancelled.

The Sydney Swans VFL side were scheduled to face Carlton at the SCG on Sunday, May 30 for their Round 7 clash.

The State Government's seven-day lockdown period, which begins on Thursday at 11.59pm AEST, will see all second-tier matches for the men and womens' competitions postponed.

"The AFL has prepared for this situation and the inclusion of three allocated byes for all VFL clubs provides flexibility with the fixture," the AFL's statement said.

"The VFLW home and away season has two games remaining before a scheduled bye and the AFL will work through a revised fixture for all clubs."

With community sport stopped as a result of the snap lockdown, round six NAB League games in Victoria will also not go ahead.

Round Six of the NAB League Boys fixture will not proceed as planned as a result of the lockdown.

Subject to border restrictions and match arrangements the AFL is aiming to host NAB League fixtures for the Northern Academies, details of these games are currently being finalised.

Restrictions are enforced until 11.59pm Thursday June 3, 2021 with no NAB League training in Victoria for girls and boys to occur before this time.

With the VFL no longer a curtain raiser this week, gates will open at 1:30pm before the AFL clash at 3:20pm. Click here for all the details in our Match Day Hub.
