The Sydney Swans will face Carlton on Sunday afternoon in a highly anticipated Marn Grook at the SCG fixture.

Sunday's Marn Grook match, as part of Sir Doug Nicholls round is always a highlight on the Sydney Swans calendar and is a chance to celebrate and recognise the contribution of Indigenous players to the game.

The Swans have made three changes to the team that were narrowly defeated by Fremantle last week with Tom Hickey (knee), Robbie Fox (eye) and Nick Blakey (omitted) the three outs.

Coming into the team are Callum Sinclair, Kaiden Brand and Justin McInerney.

Carlton have made two changes to their line up for the clash.

Jack Martin returns to their side after overcoming a PCL injury along with Levi Casboult who was managed through their 23-point victory over Hawthorn last week. Coming out of the side are the suspended Lachie Plowman as well as Marc Murphy, who has been omitted.

KEY QUOTES

John Longmire

"Robbie hasn't made it up after the eye injury last week. He's feeling good but it's a bit risky so we have rested him.”

"Tom Hickey is the other injury, it's disappointing he couldn't get up, we were hoping he would be able to for this week but his knee has pulled up a little bit sore so he won't be available either.”

"It's obviously a really important game for us.We have got some Indigenous players with some wonderful records at this football club and it's great to be able to recognise that again with the Marn Grook game."

"For me it's more about playing, playing consistently, winning and getting the club back to finals. I had that 15 years of playing - week in, week out - then to miss that much football in the last couple of years was disappointing.”

"I just focused on getting myself in good condition and resilient, so I can hopefully play week in week out for the rest of my career."

"It's a special round, not only for the Indigenous players but for the non-Indigenous players. The AFL do such a great thing, the ambassadors of the game do such a good thing too; Shaun Burgoyne, Adam Goodes have all been tremendous in recognising and teaching people about our culture."
