Sydney Swans Errol Gulden, Braeden Campbell and Sam Reid are progressing well from their respective injuries whilst Lewis Melican, Chad Warner and Sam Naismith remain on the sidelines.
Ahead of Round 15, Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services Damian Raper provides the latest on the club's injury list.
Errol Gulden
Errol is going well at the moment. He is back into training, completed some football training over the weekend and he is working through the end stage of his rehab program.
Braeden Campbell
Braeden’s shin pain is continuing to improve. He is running, working up to 5-6km sessions and is starting to do some introductory football drills as well.
Lewis Melican
Lewis is going slowly with his hamstring rehab unfortunately. He is still a couple of weeks away at the moment.
Sam Reid
Sam is going well and has really turned a corner over the last two weeks. We are hoping Sam is going to be back into some football drills next week and then available for selection after that.
Chad Warner
Chad initially missed the game against Hawthorn with some fibula soreness. On further investigation, we found he had some low grade bone stress in his fibula so Chad is taking some time off legs to let that fibula pain settle down. He will work back into training over the next week or so.
Sam Naismith
Some really disappointing news for Sam, unfortunately we found out just prior to the bye that his ACL repair had failed. It meant that Sam required an operation to remove the old ACL and he is going to have some bone healing over the next four months and then he will have another reconstruction of his ACL.
