The Sydney Swans recorded a dominant 92-point victory over West Coast at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday afternoon, securing their biggest win over the Eagles since 1987.

The Round 16 fixture was John Longmire's 250th game as an AFL coach. He lauded an even team performance that included winners in all areas of the ground and a dominant display from early in the game.

The Swans shared the goalkicking duties with eight players booting multiple majors.

"Whether it's sharing it around in our front half or the defenders really working as a tight unit, through to the midfield each doing their role and taking their turn, that was probably the standout feature," Longmire said.

"It was a really even team performance. It is fantastic to see us play a game like that against quality opposition. It was outstanding.

"We were able to play all three lines the way we wanted to and try and get the game in offence and defence areas balanced, and make sure we're really good in the hunt. To see our pressure rating through the roof, even though we had a lot of the footy, was outstanding."

Running out 15 goal winners, Longmire was pleased by every player playing their role on the way to the win.

"It was so even [the performance]. Everyone had a role to play and it was a weight of number performance," Longmire said.

"That was the real key to what happened. Everyone contributed and that's what we want to aim for every week and to get it today against this team is outstanding."

"We had more tackles and pressure ratings through the roof, yet we had a lot of the footy. It's a really good sign when you get the hunt and put pressure on the opposition. That's always the foundation and everything flows from that and that was the important thing, that we wanted to maintain that pressure on the opposition as much as we could and then build off that." Longmire added.

Whilst Longmire did not want to point our particular players, the coach had praise for forward Joel Amartey.

In just his fifth game, the 21-year-old finished with two goals, 3 inside-50s, 12 disposals, 4 tackles and a handful of intercept marks that proved crucial.

"He is very young and inexperienced and has been working through his football and learning every week, learning about himself and his footy," Longmire said.

"That has been coming along, it takes the bigger guys a little bit of time and he has had some injury concerns, but to be able to play a key role for us today, he just wanted to get the ball to deck, and he was an important part of that.

"As the game went on, he was really able to launch at it and back himself in the air, and he was a real presence in our front half.

"To get the ball to ground when he couldn't mark it, and that was a key role for us and to be able to do that against a quality defence was good."
