The Sydney Swans would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the traditional custodians of our land this week and say thank you for everything they contribute to our game and our nation.
July 4-11 marks 2021 NAIDOC Week, a week to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.
This year’s theme is Heal Country, a call to continue to seek greater protection for Aboriginal lands, waters, sacred sites and cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction.
The Club’s vision is to be a leader in promoting equality and justice for the First Australians.
Throughout the week, the club will share stories to celebrate NAIDOC Week and Yuin-Dunghutti man and Sydney Swans player James Bell will feature on AFL.com's Yokayi Footy show.
