Sydney Swans co-captain Luke Parker was the lone Swans player to poll votes for the AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award following Sydney’s Round 21 clash with St Kilda.

Parker polled four votes for his performance that saw him finish with 30 disposals, 18 contested possessions, four tackles, 12 clearances and four scoring involvements in the 29-point defeat.

Following Round 21, Parker now moves to second as the highest polling Sydney player on the leaderboard with 41 votes. He is one behind Callum Mills who lead with 42 votes. Isaac Heeney sits in third with 37 votes while ruckman Tom Hickey sits fourth with 34 votes.

The AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.

Please note, Round 22 and 23 voting for the 2021 AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award will not be released until the announcement of the winner.
