Aaron Francis joined the Sydney Swans ahead of the 2023 season, following a trade with Essendon. The 26-year-old is versatile in playing both defence and attack but is best known for his role in the back line. Originally from West Adelaide, Francis was taken at pick 6 overall in the 2015 National Draft before playing 54 games for the Bombers. The former rising star nominee played 15 games in 2023 making his debut for the red and white in Round 6 against Geelong. He proved to be an important addition to the team in the wake of injury during the 2023 season and will be looking to build form in his second year with the Swans.
