After seven years as assistant coach, Dean Cox was appointed the role of senior coach in November 2024. He succeeds 2012 premiership coach John Longmire.

Longmire was the club’s longest serving senior coach after taking on the job in 2011. He led the football club to the 2012 Premiership and four further Grand Final appearances. The Sydney Swans have missed just two finals series under the guidance of Longmire.

Meanwhile, former Sydney Swans Premiership captain Jarrad McVeigh takes over as Head Coach of the Sydney Swans VFL team.

Under Cox are assistant coaches Ben Matthews, Mark McVeigh, Amon Buchanan and AFL Development Coach Adam Kennedy.
