The Sydney Swans will face reigning premiers Geelong and elimination final opponent St Kilda in the opening round of the 2012 NAB Cup on February 24 at Etihad Stadium.

The 2012 NAB Cup will again kick off with a three team round robin, with each team playing two matches, comprising two 20 minute halves.

After round one, the competition will revert back to traditional four-quarter matches, but unlike previous years, the 2012 NAB Cup fixture is set.

In round two, the Swans will tackle North Melbourne at Bruce Purser Reserve in Rouse Hill, before travelling back to Melbourne to face Essendon in round three at Etihad Stadium.

At the conclusion of the three qualifying rounds, the top two teams based on points and percentage (as per the premiership season ladder) will play off in the Grand Final to be played on Saturday night, March 17.

The Swans round one matches and round three match against the Bombers will all be shown live on Fox.
