The Sydney Swans today launched their 2013 membership campaign, ‘Proudly Sydney’.
 
As of today, 2012 members are able to renew for next year, with new memberships available for purchase on Friday.
 
Sydney Swans CEO Andrew Ireland said the 2013 season promised to be a blockbuster year for fans.
 
“With so many big games next season it has never been more important for our fans to sign up as members,” he said.
 
“ANZ Stadium will host two blockbusters against 2012 finals opponents Collingwood and Hawthorn, while at the SCG we have two Friday night matches against Geelong and Carlton, along with matches against Essendon, St Kilda and Richmond.
 
“The SCG redevelopment will continue throughout the 2013 season, so the best way to secure your seat is to sign up,” Ireland said.
 
Ireland said that in the current AFL environment, membership was crucial to the ongoing success of the team.
 
“The other teams in this year’s top four were all among the leading Clubs in the competition for membership numbers.
 
“For us to remain competitive on the field against the bigger Clubs, we need our fans to commit to a membership.
 
“There are no better advocates for membership than our existing members, so I encourage everyone to use the opportunity to Nominate a Mate,” Ireland said.

The Swans ‘Proudly Sydney’ 2013 membership campaign will kick off with the 2012 Premiership Cup Tour throughout New South Wales, ACT and Melbourne.
 
Swans fans will also have the opportunity to host the premiership cup at their own home, office or school, by visiting our competitions page and telling us in 25 words or less why they would like to be part of the 2012 Premiership Cup Tour.
