Sydney Swans physiotherapist Matt Cameron is hopeful the upcoming bye following the Western Bulldogs game can be a turning point for many of the Swans injured brigade.

Cameron told SwansTV that youngsters Gary Rohan and Jed Lamb had both resumed training, with a view to resume playing after the bye.

If all goes well, that duo could be joined by Lewis Johnston (ankle) and Mike Pyke (quad).

From the weekend’s matches, Campbell Heath has suffered a setback after getting a knock on his knee during the reserves match at Lakeside Oval.

“He had some contact to the outside of his knee which gave his medial ligament a bit of a twinge. He’s going to be out for a couple of weeks and he will resume soon after the bye,” Cameron said.

Andrejs Everitt, who was named in the original squad to take on Fremantle, sustained a calf injury during Friday’s training session and will not be available for this weekend’s clash against his former Club.

Matt Spangher, who was withdrawn from the Swans squad on Friday, is in doubt for this Saturday’s match with a hamstring strain, while developing ruckman Dan Currie resumed sprint work today and will undergo a fitness test in a bid to return from his foot injury.

Earlier today, John Longmire confirmed that Jude Bolton had recovered from his knee injury and would take his place in the Swans line-up against the Bulldogs.
