The club has launched stage one of its new website, which is set to deliver more news, video and Swans content than ever before.
The club’s 2012 finals campaign and premiership victory saw unprecedented numbers visit the Swans website, and we believe this new platform will allow for even greater coverage of the Swans’ successes in the future.
The versatile new format found on the new sydneyswans.com.au allows for bigger video, bigger photos, more stats and easier access to Sydney Swans football content.
A major improvement of the new sydneyswans.com.au is the large image cycler on the located on the home page. The cycler allows for a greater rotation of key videos, feature stories and photos, and throughout the season, this will be Swans’ fans first stop for match day content, team announcements and other breaking news.
The new site also provides easier access and navigation of SwansTV, including simpler navigation to our regular segments including the Injury Update, Team Selection with John Longmire, and SwansTV’s Weekly Round-Up.
The new site has also began a revamp of the player profiles, which will soon include more information, more stats and more related player content than ever before, and a new history section will begin construction shortly starting with the club’s five premierships.
As this is the first stage of the roll-out of the club’s new site, we expect there will be some bugs and technical issues during the switch from the old website to the new system.
