The Sydney Swans will welcome back four big names for Saturday afternoon’s clash against Adelaide at the SCG.

Lance Franklin, Kurt Tippett, Ben McGlynn and Ted Richards return to the side to tackle the Crows.

Mike Pyke (knee), Adam Goodes (personal leave), Xavier Richards (omitted) and Zak Jones (omitted) are out after last weekend’s loss to West Coast.

Coach John Longmire said it was pleasing to get some of their key players back into the line-up for a crucial clash.

“We have fallen short over the last couple of weeks and we need to get a lot better,” Longmire said.

“We need to make sure we play a better style of footy and we are hoping that the team we have in place is able to do that.

“We are really confident in the group we have got to be able to go out there and put real pressure on the opposition as well as hit the scoreboard at the same time so that’s the aim this week.”
