Sydney Swans co-captain Callum Mills has been presented with the Carey Bunton Medal at Sydney Swans HQ and Community Centre on Tuesday, in recognition of his outstanding season in 2022.

The medal is awarded by the NSW Australian Football History Society for the best player from NSW in the AFL each season. It is based on the AFL Coaches’ Association votes and named in honour of Wayne Carey and Haydn Bunton Sr.

Former Sydney Swans chairman and society patron Richard Colless was on hand to present the award.

It caps a stellar campaign for Mills, who received maiden All Australian honours and was crowned as the Bob Skilton Medallist in his first season as co-captain of the club.
