Despite a disappointing loss against Melbourne at the MCG last week, senior coach John Longmire says he is confident in the group to do the job this week. Longmire added he is looking for more "a bit more consistency" heading into the Round 4 match against Port Adelaide.

"We need to be strong in the contested footy, we know that Port Adelaide are really good at that," Longmire said.

"It’s been a while since we’ve played them at the SCG and we’re really looking forward to going out and being hard in the contest and playing strong two-way footy.”

Paddy McCartin, Chad Warner, Errol Gulden and Joel Amartey have been named on the interchange bench, with Hayden McLean, Angus Sheldrick, Robbie Fox and Lachlan McAndrew the emergencies.

There were no injury concerns to come out of Round 3 with Ryan Clarke and and Robbie Fox returning to match play at training next week.

The Swans haven't posted a win against Port Adelaide since 2016 and will be looking to settle the score this weekend. The club have secured two wins this season, against the Gold Coast Suns and Hawthorn.
