Sydney Swans stars Jarrad McVeigh and Josh Kennedy have given the Royal Sydney Golf Club a test run ahead of the Australian Open, which starts on Thursday.

With former world number one golfers Jordan Spieth and Adam Scott lining up in this year’s tournament, the Swans duo were invited to take part in the pro-am event with other Australian personalities ahead of the first round.

Grouped with professional Australian golfer Aaron Pike and former ironman Guy Leech, and with teammate Dan Hannebery as Kennedy's caddy, the Swans duo started on the ninth hole and looked just as comfortable with the driver as they do with a footy in hand.

In form following a recent golf trip to New Zealand with the Sydney Swans Foundation, McVeigh and Kennedy had some memorable moments on course, and some shots they'll quickly forget.

McVeigh and Kennedy will commence pre-season training in early December with the senior players, while the one to fourth year players will be back training on Monday.
