The Sydney Swans VFL side has been named ahead of a Round 7 match with Frankston this Saturday in Victoria.
The red and white return to the competition after a bye last week and will be looking to secure their first win of the season.
Swans players Aaron Francis and Will Gould are expected to make a return to the VFL after making their debut for the senior team in Round 5 and 7 respectively, however are named emergencies for the AFL Collingwood match at the MCG.
Lewis Melican joins the team in his return from an abductor injury while Tom Hickey also continues his recovery in the reserve grade.
VFL head coach Damian Truslove described the challenges of coaching with an injury depleted side in an exclusive interview this month.
"We're playing with 10 or 11 AFL-listed players at the moment," Truslove revealed in a Premiership Club update.
"Ideally we'd have between 15 and 20 but it's provided opportunities for our VFL-listed guys to come in and have a crack at it."
Up-and-coming ruck Lachlan McAndrew will be one to watch this week after Truslove said his game had "gone to another level" in the 2023 season, averaging 30 hitouts and 12 disposals for the red and white.
The Swans will face Frankston at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday, May 6, at 12:05pm. All the action will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
