The 2012 Sydney Swans Club Champion Dinner will be live on SwansTV from 7pm on Friday, October 5.
Swans fans across the world will again get the opportunity to watch what promises to be a tight contest for the prestigious Bob Skilton Medal, awarded to the Club’s best and fairest player of the season.
Over 4,000 viewers tuned in to the event last year, as co-captain Adam Goodes won his third award (with 615 votes) from Rhyce Shaw and Josh Kennedy who tied for second place (573 votes). This year’s count promises to be just as thrilling with several Swans players putting in career-best performances en route to the 2012 premiership.

Fans are reminded that while we are very pleased to provide this service to those who can’t attend, the live stream may not work for everyone.
The stream will be of medium quality to cater for the largest number of people possible. Please understand that there is the possibility of dropouts and technical issues.
Slow internet connections and older computers may make viewing the stream more problematic.
You will be able to start the stream at any point during the night and it will work as any regular video on SwansTV. If you can currently view videos on SwansTV, you should be able to view the stream.
Common streaming problems include:
Apple computers require Microsoft Silverlight to play our content so you will need to install that before you can watch any videos. It is a free download.
Check that you don’t have any other programs open that heavily use your internet connection as this can cause the video to load slowly, or to pause and drop out. Programs that may cause such problems include Skype, YouTube, ITunes etc.
Other awards to be presented on the night include the Swans Rising Star, Dennis Carroll Trophy for Most Improved Player, Barry Round Shield for Best Clubman, Paul Kelly Players’ Player Award and the Paul Roos Award for best player in the finals series.
There will be special presentations to Adam Goodes (games record holder), Jude Bolton (300 games), Ryan O'Keefe (250 games), Martin Mattner, Heath Grundy and Kieren Jack (100 games) who all reached significant milestones during the year. Scheduled times for these presentations can be found below.
Fans will also get the chance to re-live the season that was, with a highlights package from the 2012 season, and round-by-round video recaps and vote count.
The live stream will run continuously until the conclusion of the event at around 11pm, and supporters can also follow and engage in the evening on the Swans’ social media pages Twitter and Facebook.
We hope you enjoy watching the 2012 Sydney Swans Club Champion Dinner.
