Exciting forward Ben Ronke has been cleared to face Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
The 20-year-old watched the final quarter of Saturday night’s thrilling win over Collingwood from the bench.
Head of Football Tom Harley said Ronke was suffering a migraine.
“We couldn’t control the symptoms of the migraine during the third quarter or during the break, and he obviously didn’t play any further part in the final quarter,” Harley said.
“He (Ronke) has had migraines in the past in the NEAFL and they are very difficult to predict, and it is unfair to go into specifics on how we would do that.
“Ben has recovered fully and will be playing on Sunday against the Demons.”
Dan Hannebery (calf) and Gary Rohan (broken hand) are both expected to be available for selection to face Melbourne.
“Hanners trained really strongly last week, he ran for the NEAFL side and so he will train again this week and we expect him to play at the MCG on Sunday,” Harley said.
“Gary also ran for the NEAFL on Saturday and they have both joined in training.
“Gary will be assessed, as Dan will be, on Friday – we fully expect him to be available.”
Meanwhile, Harrison Marsh strained his hamstring during the warm-up of Saturday’s NEAFL curtain-raiser and will be sidelined for at least the next two weeks.
