Tom McCartin a test for Thursday

Star defender Tom McCartin could see a long-awaited return to the AFL this Thursday. Coach John Longmire appeared in a press conference this week and revealed that McCartin is a test for Round 17 after two weeks in the VFL.

“The good thing is if they both (Tom McCartin and Lance Franklin) get through training, for the first time in a long time we’ll have some selection pressures which is terrific,” Longmire told journalists.
