More than 800 kids joined the entire Sydney Swans playing group at Wednesday’s Swans Squad Footy Clinic.
All of the big names were out on the SCG showing the Club’s junior members a thing or two before putting them through their paces in drills which focuses on the quintessential skills of the game.
Divided into groups, kids honed their talents in a range of disciplines including kicking, marking, handballing, goal kicking and tackling (which many took a particular liking to).
Lewis Jetta talked up his elite kicking, Josh Kennedy believed Jake Lloyd was the best handballer at the club, while who better to learn the craft of goal kicking off than Lance Franklin?
Even the players admitted to learning a few things as the kids jumped at the chance to mingle with their heroes.
Cyggy made his way around giving every member of the clinic a high-feather before the players spent time signing almost everything from jumpers, hats, footy cards and Buddy Dolls.
The clinic, exclusive to Junior or Swans Squad members, is an annual event and run during the mid-year school holidays.
