The Sydney Swans can confirm that Montana Ham will be sidelined for an extended period after suffering a stress reaction in her left foot.
Montana will miss our practice match against Carlton and our first two games of the 2023 NAB AFLW Season, after which time her progress will be reassessed.
Sydney Swans AFLW General Manager - AFLW, Kate Mahony, provided an update on the star midfielder's condition.
"Montana suffered the injury in the first half of our match simulation against the Gold Coast Suns on Saturday, and scans revealed she has a stress reaction in her left foot," Mahony said.

"She has commenced her rehabilitation program and we are confident Montana will do everything possible to return to play as soon as possible”
The Swans will host Carlton at the SCG this Saturday afternoon at 1:05pm, with members and fans encourage to attend, with free entry to the match.
