Sydney Swans players will be looking to this weekend to record their first votes in the coveted AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award after GWS picked up a clean sweep of the votes in round one.

Ahead by seven points in the opening stages of the last quarter, the Swans conceded the final six goals of the match to go down by 32 points with no players in the red and white impressing either of the coaches enough to figure in the 5-4-3-2-1 voting system.

GWS co-captain Callan Ward was voted by both John Longmire and Leon Cameron as the standout player on the ground.
