Sydney Swans midfielder Laura Gardiner continues to shine in her inaugural season in red and white, claiming another 10-votes from the coaches following the side’s 15-point victory over Port Adelaide in Round 6.
Gardiner was a standout with a game high 33 disposals, six clearances and seven tackles to move into second (43) on the ladder behind North Melbourne’s Jasmine Garner (51).
Ruck Ally Morphett was rewarded with another strong performance, claiming five-votes following her 17 disposals, 21 hit outs. Morphett sits 18th on the overall ladder with 27 votes so far this season but is the second highest polling Swan behind Gardiner.
Co-captain Chloe Molloy also polled five-votes from the coaches with 18 disposals, 2 tackles, 454m and a goal, while fellow co-captain Lucy McEvoy was a brick wall in defence, finishing with 11 intercept possessions and one vote.
