Sydney Swans forward Dean Towers will remain in red and white until at least the end of the 2018 season after agreeing to a new two-year contract extension.
The 26-year-old has played 30 games since joining the Swans with pick 22 in the 2012 national draft.
Towers played one of his best matches for the Club in Round 13 this year, collecting 27 disposals, six marks, five tackles and two goals.
Swans Head of Football Tom Harley says it’s great to have Towers on board for another two years.
“We are very pleased that Dean has recommitted to the Swans,” Harley said.
“Dean showed significant improvement in 2016 highlighted by some very strong performances in the second half of the year.
“He adds a point of difference to our team and has the ability to impact the game in a number of ways."
Towers joins a host of Swans to re-sign in 2016 including Kieren Jack, Nick Smith, Luke Parker, Gary Rohan, Jeremy Laidler, Harry Cunningham, Dan Robinson, George Hewett, Aliir Aliir, Jake Lloyd, Tom Papley and Nic Newman.
