To our valued members,
Thank you for your incredible support through 2023 – a year that saw us finally move into a new home, reach a record of more than 65,000 members and welcome more than 360,000 fans to our games at the SCG.
Our men’s football program has now wrapped up following our Club Champion event earlier this month, where young gun Errol Gulden claimed his first Bob Skilton Medal. Errol is the youngest player to win the medal since the club relocated to Sydney and I’m sure, like me, you’re excited to see where he can take his game in the future.
Preparations for the 2024 AFL season are already underway, and we are thrilled to have added experience during the trade period with the additions of Brodie Grundy, Taylor Adams, Joel Hamling and James Jordon. We are confident these players can help us improve and we look forward to welcoming them to the Sydney Swans family.
Importantly, our members can start preparing for the new season too when your membership renewal hits your inbox in just a few days.
Season 2024 is a very significant one for our club, as we will celebrate 150 years of South Melbourne and the Sydney Swans. It promises to be an incredible season and we look forward to sharing it with you.
We are absolutely committed to your experience being Better as a Member.
This year we have worked hard to bring Better as a Member to life by welcoming you into our new home at Sydney Swans HQ, delivering outstanding match day experiences, and providing opportunities to connect with our players at events such Fan Day in both Sydney and Melbourne, as well as open training sessions. We’ve heard your feedback, and we understand these opportunities are important. As part of our 150th year we want to celebrate with our members in Sydney, Melbourne and all over Australia like never before.
Following the release of the 2024 fixture in the coming weeks, there will be some exciting announcements about the upcoming season.
As we strive to set a new membership benchmark of 75,000 members, your support has never been more important. Encourage your friends and family to get on board with us too and help make our 150th season truly memorable.
For now, please join us in continuing to support our women’s team. We’ve witnessed some exciting games so far this AFLW season, including a very special first win at North Sydney Oval. Our final home game is at Henson Park on Sunday, October 29 – and we hope to see you there.
Cheer cheer,
Tom Harley
