The Swans Reserves continued their rampage in the AFL Canberra with a 212-point win over the Canberra Wildcats in perfect conditions at Greenway in Canberra on Saturday.

The Swans kept the Wildcats goalless in the first quarter while kicking away to have a 41-point lead at quarter time.

Luke Vogels kicked the Swans first goal, followed by goals to Simon Phillips and Ed Barlow.

Matthew Laidlaw kicked the Swans fourth goal after a mark 45 metres out, before Phillips and Barlow both kicked their second goals for the game.

Ten goals were kicked in the second term, all by the Swans.

Kristin Thornton, Matthew Davis and Fernie, a top-up player, each kicked two to increase the margin to 106 points by half time.

The Swans piling on another 12 goals in the third term while keeping the Wildcats scoreless to the final change.

Phillips dominated the term kicking four of his seven goals and Barlow took his tally to five goals.

In the last term the Swans took their foot off the pedal, only kicking six goals. The goals were spread across the team with Thornton kicking two and Peter Faulks, Jonathan Simpkin, Jarred Moore and Kieren Jack adding their name to the scoreboard.

The Wildcats kicked their only two goals of the match in the final quarter.

Thornton, Moore and Phillips were outstanding on the ball while Phillips also spent time in the forward line. Jack was good on the wing as were Davis and Laidlaw, who played at half forward and in the half back line.

The Swans Reserves play in the curtain raiser of the Swans and Essendon game at the SCG on Saturday 2 June at 3.50 pm.
