In a first for the Sydney Swans, three AFLW players have been recognised for their stand-out seasons, with selection in the 2023 All Australian squad.
Swans co-captain Chloe Molloy, Ally Morphett and Laura Gardiner have all been named in the squad of 44 players.
This is first time Gardiner and Morphett have been included in the All-Australian squad, whilst it marks a third appearance for Molloy who was previously selected in 2018 and 2021 team.
The final team of 21 will be announced at the W Awards on Monday, November 27. The 2023 All Australian selection panel is All-Australian Panel consists of Nicole Livingstone (Chair), Andrew Dillon, Laura Kane, Jason Bennett, Kelli Underwood, Sarah Black, Katie Loynes, Narelle Smith, Megan Waters.

Chloe Molloy
- 17 goals in the 2023 season (to date), 54 career total
- Averaging two goals, 17 disposals, four inside-50s, and eight contested possessions per game.
- Has kicked three goals in three games this season
- Molloy’s strongest performance came in the Swans Round 8 victory over the Western Bulldogs, finishing with three goals, 11 marks and 28 disposals.
Ally Morphett
- Averaging 29 hit outs, 18 disposals five clearances per game
- Earned a Rising Star nomination in the Swans round one victory over the Giants. Morphett had 29 hit-outs, 18 disposals, seven clearances, 16 contested possessions, six inside-50s, 407 metres-gained, and one goal in the club’s first ever win.
Laura Gardiner
- Averaging 30 disposals, 15 kicks, nine tackles, six clearances and 15 hand balls per game.
- Finished second in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion player of the Year 2023
- Her strongest performance of the season came in Round 3 when she finished with 41 disposals, 22 kicks, nine tackles and 19 handballs.
The Sydney Swans will face the Adelaide Crows in a blockbuster semi-final at Norwood Oval on Saturday, 18 November.
